On Sunday, we looked at Romans 8 and considered how suffering is the pathway to unimaginable glory. This is because the way of Jesus is death before life. When we remember that unimaginable glory is the goal of this life, it puts our suffering into proper perspective. Seeing our suffering as part of our union with Christ helps us wait eagerly, even as we groan inwardly, because we hope ceaselessly for what he has promised.
Read Romans 8:12-25
Was there a time when you dismissed your suffering, because you thought it wasn’t “real suffering”?
When have you experienced fellowship with the Lord in the midst of suffering?
Where are you suffering in your life right now?
How are you finding hope in Christ in the midst of your suffering?
Pray for each other to persevere in hope.
